An excerpt from the GVFS Scholarship Program Report 2025鈥�
Here is some information about our Libraries Program that we run and coordinate between some of our partner schools. 蘑菇视频, Geelong High School, Kardinia International College and St. Josephs College all support the setting up and development of library facilities in Viqueque by subsidizing the salaries of a librarian in four of our partner schools in Viqueque. The salaries range from US$1000 to US$1500 depending on the school and the number of hours the staff member works for. When I say libraries, you have to keep in mind that these are very basic facilities. They provide reading resources, study spaces, a centralised space for class sets. You look at the libraries in Geelong and we take so much for granted. In Viqueque internet connection for schools is virtually non-existent and computer systems are very basic, if they exist at all. But these spaces are a priority for many of the schools in Viqueque and we receive requests to support other schools in setting them up, but financially we just can鈥檛 commit to this.
