On June 22, Ģ¹½ÊÓƵ hosted the much-loved Justice Meal Day, or Roll Day as it is more affectionately known. On the day students and staff at Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ stood in solidarity with the world’s poorest people to raise awareness of the injustice of wealth distribution both globally and in Australia.
On the day Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ became a mini world. For their gold coin donation students and staff received a ticket which determined whether they received a 3-course meal, a salad roll or a plain bread roll for their lunch.
For those who committed to the day, it gave them a small appreciation of what it is like to be truly living in poverty.
All proceeds raised will go towards supporting the work of the Brigidine Asylum Seekers Project.
