AtÌýÄ¢¹½ÊÓÆµ, we are deeply committed to the safety, dignity and well-being of every student and their family. We recognise that, at times, young people and families may experience challenges at home or within relationships that can impact wellbeing, learning and a sense of safety.Ìý

The Orange Door – GeelongÌýis a free, local service that provides support to individuals and families who may be experiencing family conflict, safety concerns, or challenges related to wellbeing. Support is confidential andÌýno referral isÌýrequired.Ìý

What is The Orange Door?Ìý

The Orange Door is a Victorian Government service that offers information,ÌýassessmentÌýand connection to support for families and young people who may need extra help.Ìý

Support is available for:Ìý

  • young people experiencing wellbeing,ÌýsafetyÌýor developmental concernsÌý
  • parents and carers seeking parenting supportÌý
  • families experiencing conflict or relationship difficultiesÌý
  • individuals affected by family violenceÌý
  • young people using or experiencingÌýviolenceÌýin the homeÌý

How The Orange Door can helpÌý

Staff at The Orange Door can work alongside families and young people to:Ìý

  • identifyÌýwhat support may be helpful at this timeÌý
  • support the wellbeing and safety of children and adolescentsÌý
  • assistÌýwith safety planning if someone feels unsafeÌý
  • connect families withÌýappropriate servicesÌýsuch as counselling, mental health support, parenting programs, housing or accommodation support, legalÌýassistance, alcohol and drug services, or financial supportÌý
  • assistÌýwith access to funding for essential living expenses where appropriateÌý
  • support positive changes in unsafe or controlling behavioursÌý

Students and families may:Ìý

  • Attend The Orange Door (Geelong) in personÌý
    Monday to Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pmÌý
    No appointment isÌýrequiredÌý
  • Find your nearest Orange Door serviceÌý
