On Monday 9 August, the Year 12 VCAL class travelled to Ballarat to the historic goldfields of Sovereign Hill.

The aim was to enhance their knowledge around Goldrush scenes, as students are currently completing a Drawing to Communicate ideas unit with a focus on a film scene from this era. We panned for gold, watched some gold pouring by a blacksmith and ventured through the Red Hill mine shaft. Thank you to all staff and students for embracing this day out with such enthusiasm.听
