Over term 4 our Year 7 students have undertaken learning in Religious Education around the Catholic Social Teachings, Pope Francis’ EncyclicalÌýLaudato SiÌý:ÌýOn Care for our Common Home, ÌýJesus’ parables and the personal attribute of taking responsibility. They are now transferring this knowledge and skills to respond to the essential question from our Kildare MinistriesÌýLiving Justice Living Peace Charter: What response is required to heal and protect our communities?
Year 7 students are critiquing campaigns for social change as well as creating them, using the Harvard University Graduate School of Education’sÌýDesign for ChangeÌý´Ú°ù²¹³¾±ð·É´Ç°ù°ì.ÌýÌýHere you can see Ms Helen Purnell’s Year 7 White Religious Education class undertaking aÌýfeel, think, doÌýprotocol as they work collaboratively focusing on change in their personal life, school and wider community.
